What is Bolton?

　今月１３日付けのニッカンスポーツには、ボルトン・ウォンダラーズが来日し、７月２６日にヴィッセル神戸、２８日に川崎フロンターレと親善試合を行なう予定との記事が掲載されていた。
　トロッターズ(ボルトンのアイドルネーム)は、04-05シーズンを６位で終了し、来季のUEFAカップ出場権を勝ち取っている。
　チームの顔は、１９９９年１０月より指揮を執るサム・アラダイス監督。補強費が限られる中、チームを確実にプレミアシップ残留へと導いてきた。
　今季はケヴィン・デイヴィスをターゲットマンとしたフィードを中心に、堅実な戦い方を見せた。
　ハーフラインには、ジェイジェイ・オコチャやケヴィン・ノーラン、ギャリー・スピード、スティリアノス・ヤンナコプーロスを擁し、アンカーにイヴァン・カンポを配する。
　また、リカルド・ガードナーはレフトバックをこなし、ライトバックのニッキー・ハントとのコンビは攻撃的だ。
　守備の中心は、ゴールキーパーのユッシ・ヤスケライネンとセンターバックのタル・ベン・ハイム。とりわけユッシ・ヤスケライネンは、致命的ピンチを救う事で定評があり、信頼度抜群のトッププレイヤーだ。
　ただ、選手層は非常に薄く、フィル・ガートサイド会長は補強に消極的な姿勢を見せている。フェルナンド・イエロは引退を表明し、エル・ハジ・ディウフはローン移籍元のリヴァプールへ戻った。
　来季のボルトンは、ハードスケジュールに不安を覚えている。
　なお、神戸や川崎でスピーディーなパスワークが見られると期待すると、必ず後悔するだろう。日本のファンは、ケヴィン・デイヴィスの空中戦やジェイジェイ・オコチャのロングスロー等、パワフルな一面に見応えを感じるだろう。
　ところでサム・アラダイス監督は、休暇中に国外の各リーグを視察し、選手を発掘している。今年のオフにレアル・ベティスからオファーが届いたジュニーニョは、彼の検討を受けるかもしれない。もしそうなった場合、フロンターレのファンは、ＵＫ移民局がクラッキ(最上級の選手)への労働ビザを認可しない事を祈るだろう。

The main member is Jay-Jay Okocha it, Kevin Nolan, Gary Speed, and Stylianos Giannakopoulos. Ivan Campo boasts of a high defense ability.
Ricardo Gardner handles the left-back, and the combination with the Nicky Hunt of the right-back is aggressive.
The key mover of the defense is goalkeeper's Jussi Jaaskelainen and center-back's Tal Ben Haim. Jussi Jaaskelainen is acknowledged to save the pinch, and a major player of preeminent reliability.
But, the backup player is very few. Fernando Ruiz Hierro declared the retirement, and El-Hadji Diouf returned to Liverpool. Chairman Philip Phil Gartside is showing passive posture to reinforcement even so.
Manager Sam Allardyce inspects each league in foreign countries during one's vacation, and is excavating the player. Juninho might receive his examination.
